Marlene Matar Cooking Courses will begin as of the 31st of January till end of February with classes every Tuesday PM and Thursday AM with Fridays AM as option, depending on the number of student.

Schedule

Tuesdays Courses are from 5:15 till 8:15 p.m.

Thursday courses are from 10:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.

Thursday optional courses are from 10:00 am till 1:00 p.m.

Menu

January 31 and February 2, a special Valentine Menu

Strawberry and Cranberry Soda

A refreshing non-alcoholic drink full of vitamins prepared with strawberries and cranberry juice to be served before a meal, as morning or afternoon snack or in parties.

Puff Pastry Hearts with Feta and Thyme

Puff pastry rolled and prepared as tart base cut in the form of a heart for special occasions such as mother’s day or Valentine.  It is topped with feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes and thyme to be served as first course.  May be cut to small hearts and serve as canapés.

Tomato Crowned Crepes with Feta and Oregano

Thin crêpes stuffed with cheese and herbs, folded and rolled up together in the form of a heart. They are baked and topped with thick tomato sauce.  

 

February 7 and February 9 

 

Black Bean Soup

 

A delicious thick soup from Latin America prepared with the healthy black beans that are high in protein and well known for their therapeutic value. It is enriched with potatoes, ginger, coriander and spring onion.  

Smoked Salmon Sushi Cake

An impressive and delicious California sushi in cake form, ideal for big invitations.

February 14, and February 16

Raw Spring Rolls

They are raw appetizers surprisingly easy to make from rice sheets stuffed with rice vermicelli, vegetables and shrimps.  Rolls are served with a dipping sauce.

Unbeatable Pizza

Why buy a pizza when you can make a better one at home!!

Tiramisu

“Pick me up” is the meaning of Tiramisu.  A light and popular Italian dessert enjoyed by many.  It is here prepared in the form of a cake without the use of raw eggs.

 

February 21 and February 23 

Rainbow Salad

A colorful salad prepared with broad beans, nectarine and chicken, mixed with exquisite minted rosewater sauce.  Omit chicken for a vegetarian salad.

Couscous Tfaya

A well-known Moroccan dish prepared with lamb neck, three vegetables, dates, and almonds.

Diet Swiss Roll Cake

Easy to prepare cake roll stuffed with jam of choice.  175 calorie per serving.
